Keeping it SIMPLE!

I find that I sometimes make things seem a lot more complicated than things really are. I always think to lose weight, you need some fancy recipes and some strict food guide and diet plan when I really just think I need to relax and not be afraid to eat something. Am I getting enough protein? Is this too many carbohydrates? How many calories is this? Why am I still so hungry?

Hungry? Eat some food. As long as it natural, from the earth, and isn't some kind of artificial crap, eat it. It doesn't matter what time of day, how many calories it has, it doesn't need to be fruits at breakfast, veggies at dinner, it doesn't have to look pretty or even make sense, or sound good or even taste good. If it's full of nutrients, and it's healthy (aka completely natural) EAT. IT.

I have to get really good at shopping in 1 area of the store. PRODUCE. Everything you need (including your over the counter pharmacy) is in that one section of the store that is so overlooked and simple and often times just seems like this is where you get your garnish for the plate of chemicals you're about to eat. You don't need to know all these over the top "healthy" recipes, just get some veggies, cut them up, put them in a salad or a stew or eat them raw. Simple. We make food seem like it's this great big deal when it's really not. You don't need to read labels, or count calories. If you're not willing to eat a carrot over a cookie, you're not that hungry! If you're not willing to drink water over pop or milk or juice, you're not that thirsty! It's ok to get hungry 5 times a day! You don't HAVE to only eat twice or three meals a day, eat whatever you want, whenever you want as often as you want to eat it. As long as it natural, from the earth, and isn't some kind of artificial crap.

We seem to be cutting corners in all the wrong areas. We all have busy lives and we all want everything faster, better, stronger and our personal health is what's suffering. And that's whats most important because if we don't have our health, we have nothing and we won't get to experience what we're truly capable of. Food shouldn't have this much control of our lives. It's simple. Just eat it, and eat as often as you like, any time of day, as long as it's natural, real and whole.

Keep. It. Simple.
Eat. Real. Food.
